This amounts to a total of 90 eligible occupations. These eligible occupations fall into the following general categories:
Industrial, electrical and construction trades
Maintenance and equipment operation trades
Supervisors and technical occupations in national resources, agriculture and related production
Processing, manufacturing and utilities supervisors and central control operators
Chefs and cooks
Butchers and bakers
Certification or Offer of Employment
In Canada, trade certification is governed by provinces. Every province specifies which occupations will be subject to regulations and, if necessary, creates regulatory organizations. Because it might be challenging to gain provincial certification from outside of Canada, tradesmen who receive an accepted job offer from a reputable company or who are currently employed temporarily by a foreign employer would benefit the most from this program. Not every province has regulations governing every trade. In unregulated trades, it is required to make an offer of employment.
A Canadian employer's approved offer of employment in their trade for a period of one year or longer is also open to tradespeople. In order to guarantee that the hiring will have no negative impact on the Canadian labor market and that the offered position is eligible, the offer of employment will be assessed.
Before obtaining a permanent residence:
As part of the Canadian immigration application procedure, individuals and their dependents must also go through medical exams and secure security clearances after being chosen from the Express entry Pool and given an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
